quick political update

anyone following the democratic race?

now that it's all but over...hopefully...i won't go into the whole Hillary staying in even after she was mathematically eliminated or how she showed the same stubborn pride and selfish will to make a point even in a losing effort that our current idiot of a president showed for the last 8 years.

na...i won't get too into that since it's all but over now. but...what i will talk about is the fact that she now said she's willing to be Obama's running mate "if asked and if it would help the democratic party secure the oval office."
i know they're both democrats and Obama was very diplomatic in addressing the race the two of them ran the past 16 months when he spoke two nights ago in Minnesota after securing enough delegates to win the nomination. AND i know they'll have to work together regardless of who the VP nominee is.

but...at what point have you said too much to work together or for people to just accept "oh they're cool now they kissed and made up." i mean...this isn't hip hop or a rap beef. Hillary Clinton isn't the Game. you can't just say whatever the hell you feel like and then apologize and say "we're good now." all the people that have gone back and forth won't go for that.

not to mention her policies are closer to McCain's than Obama's. she works with lobbyists. Obama is against lobbyists. She voted for the war (then pretended she didn't), Obama voted against it from jump. i think democrats will jump behind whoever the nominee is...i'm just saying...i don't think Hillary needs to be the running mate. it'd make too many contradictions and open Obama up for easy attacks by the republican nominee.

just a thought. i've read a lot of different opinions about a "super ticket" for November with Hillary as the VP candidate. yeah it'd probably get a few votes but to me it just seems like a contradiction and a set up. how can you have a presidential campaign where the vp candidate doesn't agree with half the policies the president has?
